Hello, my name is Leonard Lueck and I am the Superintendent of the School District of Brodhead. It is my pleasure to work in a District that has a strong history of tradition and accomplishment. We have a close relationship with our community and a positive climate throughout our schools.
I come from a strong background of small communities. I grew up in Mazomanie, Wisconsin Heights School District. From there I attended the University of Platteville and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, (1-8, with a Social Studies Minor). I completed my Masters program through Viterbo College and my Administrative certification from Marion College. The last step of my education was my Superintendent’s license which I received from St. Mary’s University, (Wiscad program).
My first job was with the Westfield School District as a 7/8 grade Social Studies teacher. I worked there for 18 years. The final two years were as the Assistant Principal/Athletic Director. While in Westfield I also coached HS basketball for 9 years and HS football for 14 years. In 2005 I accepted the Principal position with the School District of Brodhead. After 8 years in that position I moved up to the Superintendent position.
As far as my personal life, my wife’s name is Tracy. We have four children, (Josh, Mike, Ashley, and Briana). Of the many things we enjoy, traveling and sporting events are probably our two favorites. We both love watching the Brodhead teams compete and spend a lot of our free time at these events. We also spend time golfing, walking, and spending time visiting our children.
As I said earlier, it is truly a pleasure to work in a District that cares about each other. We have a great little community and school system. I will work tirelessly to make sure that always remains the same.
