My name is Ethan Anderson, your school counselor for the School District of Brodhead, primarily working with our youngest students at Albrecht Elementary. I have my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Edgewood College and my Master's degree in Counseling from UW-Stout. Helping kids to develop into caring problem solvers is my mission.

As a school counselor, I work alongside teachers and families to help students develop socially and emotionally. My goal is to remove barriers to learning so that all kids can succeed. This is achieved by providing classroom lessons, work with students in small groups, and individual counseling sessions. Students are often referred to me by classroom teachers, school staff or by parents.

In classrooms and during individual work with students we may discuss a variety of topics including: managing emotions and coping skills, solving problems, life changes, making and keeping friends, self-esteem/self-confidence, conflict resolution and more.

In addition to my work directly with students I consult with teachers, help develop school-wide programming and provide community resource referrals, including referrals to longer term therapy services as needed.
